Episode 5

Soledad walked out of their cabin and Isabella was looking towards the big house. They were getting ready to go to the Sunday market. Isabella said Soledad knew that she liked that guy very much. Soledad told her not to expect love from riches. Besides, he's leaving tomorrow. She reminded her that life is not a telenovela. There was something that girls couldn't dream of. If he wanted her, maybe his family wouldn't accept her. Isabella told her mom to stop talking. She wanted Isabella to forget Antonio and let their memory pass by. Isabella grabbed her scarf and walked out of the door. Soledad locked the door and told Isabella to slow down.

Antonio ran downstairs and kissed his grandma and Diana. Diana unthankfully thanked Antonio for taking care of Jeremy. Jeremy told her not to blame Antonio, blame it on the tequila.

Bruno joined them and said Antonio must join them for lunch because this would be the last time his grandma saw him, and it'd be another year before she'd see him again. Antonio asked Dona Ines to prepare dinner instead, and she agreed. She said he would be nicer if he cut his hair. Antonio smiled and said he'd consider that suggestion. After kissing his father's and his grandmother's cheek, he ran out cheerfully. They were all wondering what was happening to him. Jeremy said he was in love. And asked whom with him. Jeremy, a young girl, is one of the workers. Dona Inez stood up and Jeremy knew something was wrong. He quickly said he didn't know what he was talking about. Dona Ines and Diana agreed that they must find out if Antonio really was in love with one of the workers.

Antonio ran to Isabella’s cabin and knocked on the door. No one was in. Later, Aurelio came and told him that they were going to the Sunday market for shopping.

Isabella saw beautiful clothes and admired them. Later, a big man with a camera came to her and said she was looking beautiful each day. She wanted to take her pictures. Isabella and Soledad sat at a table. That big man approached them and said she could make Isabella rich. Soledad told him to go away before she kicked him. That man showed them his business card to prove that he was from a famous company. Isabella read the card. He said he could make her a model and her mom wouldn't have to work anymore. Isabella was interested. Soledad told Isabella to ignore that guy because he might want to take her picture without her clothes on. She dragged her daughter away from that man.

Jeremy wanted to walk through town. Diana said it might be dangerous. He asked for another cup of coffee. Diana went to get the coffee and Aurelio came. Jeremy followed him to town.

At the market, Isabella bought a stylish piece of hair. Her mom was so proud of her daughter, later they were shopping for some accessories.

Antonio had just arrived at the market looking for Isabella. He smiled when he saw Isabella and her mom. He closed his eyes with his hands and chuckled. She turned and was happy to see him. He pulled her away and wanted to spend the day with her. Isabella managed to let her mom agree. Isabella explained that she had just bought the hat. Her dress was new too, and she only wore it on special occasions. He praised that she was beautiful, and he wanted to bring her to a special place.

Soledad seemed worried.

They were at a restaurant, kissing. Antonio wanted to throw away his watch because it was moving too fast & he didn't want to know what time it was. She stopped him from throwing it away and said why not just give it to her as something she can remember him while he's gone. Antonio said he decided not to return to London and stay there with her. She said he shouldn't give up his studies, his future for her. She said their feelings were temporary, and it would pass by soon when he returned. His feelings might already be gone, and he'd forget her. Antonio said he'll never forget her. This is the 1st time he fell in love. He told her not to worry about his family. She said maybe a few days after this, they'll realize the truth that they can't be together. She wanted him to go back to London and swore that she'd wait for him. Antonio thinks a year is too long. They kissed again and said he didn't wait to return. Isabella again swore she'd wait for him and a year from now they would meet again during the harvesting month, in October. If he came after that, she'd be gone. Antonio said he'd remember that that day was 17th October, and he'd be there in a year's time. And on 18th October, they will get married. He swore. She repeated her promise. More kissing.

Night. Full moon..

Antonio can't imagine the number of nights he'll have to spend without her. They stood looking at the water fall. And there were more kissing (kena potong lah). Isabella said she was scared, and so was Antonio. He said this would be his first time.

Antonio and Fabian had prepared all the things and were ready to go back to London. Jeremy didn't want to follow them back to London. He wanted to stay there for a few more days. Bruno tried to make Diana feel better and said he’ll look after Jeremy while he’s there. Dona Ines was not thrilled by the idea of Jeremy staying. Don Bruno wanted to discuss something with Jeremy. Antonio told Diana to go first because he needed to get to something first.

He ran to Isabella’s cabin. Soledad was not happy to see him and told him Isabella was in the cabin. She was crying. Antonio came to her almost crying that he didn't want to leave. Isabella wanted him to finish his education and after that nothing could stop them from being together. She, heavily-hearted, let him go. She said she didn’t have any fixed address but they both knew they'd be there in October. If she needed him, she already knew that he was in London, capital of the United Kingdom. It takes 10 hours of flight to get there because the plane needs to cross the Atlantic Ocean. She continued crying. Before he left, she asked if she really was the first woman in his life. He said she was the first and the one, and he only wanted to lose her. She gave him her favorite tape in exchange for a watch to remember each other.

After Antonio left, Soledad said now she must learn to quit crying. Soledad said she warned Isabella that she would be hurt if she had any kind of relationship with that rich boy.

Days went by and the harvesting season almost ended. Her notebook was full of drawings or a heart being pierced by a love arrow and her name and Antonio's name were on the pages. Isabella and Soledad packed their stuff and got ready to go to another plantation. Aurelio promised to get them back for the next harvesting season. A friend gave Isabella some magazines because she knew that Isabella loved to read.

When they were walking in town, Isabella was not feeling well, and they stopped at a table. Isabella saw her mom counting money and wondered where she had gotten it. Soledad told her not to ask questions. Soon they’ll be on another plantation to work. Isabella seemed not well, getting dizzy and nauseas. Soledad suspected something and questioned her if she had done something with Antonio. Isabella was sad because Isabella didn't trust her love for Antonio. She admitted that she slept with Antonio. Soledad got angry because that shouldn't have happened. She can’t just give herself to a man. Isabella said Antonio was the man for her, and he promised to come back for her. Soledad said that the words most men used to trap women. Isabella's question asked if that had to do with Soledad herself, who gave birth to her without a father. She quickly realized that she had hurt her mother's feelings and quickly apologized. She said Soledad was pushing her, and she had to talk that way. She knew she shouldn't have done that. She apologized over and over again. They hugged. Soledad hopes Isabella is not pregnant.

Soledad took Isabella to a clinic and the doctor showed her her test results. Isabella asked what 'positive' means? The Doctor explained that it means she is pregnant.

Antonio was in London with Fabian, who enjoyed taking women home for entertainment. Antonio was missing Isabella like crazy, he was counting the days that he'd meet Isabella again. He spent most of the time listening to the tape and playing Isabella’s favorite song. Fabian wanted him to join him and enjoy it with the girls, but Antonio wasn't interested. Antonio questioned what Barbara would think if she knew what Fabian had been doing. He had already reported to Barbara that Fabian wasn’t going to university. Fabian was quite worried that Antonio would report to Barbara again. He said he'll call her. Antonio left, trying not to listen to him when he offered a girl to him.

Fabian was on the phone with Barbara, but at that time he was on the bed embracing another woman. Barbara was already planning for their married life and met a gynecologist who confirmed that she could have children anytime she wanted to.
